Slovenia’s national anthem is called “The Toast”, and below are the first stanza and the last two lines.
Anew the vines have fruited
And borne, my good friends, sweet wine
To charge our blood diluted,
To clear our heart, our eye define,
To suppress
All distress
And waken hope in saddened breast.
And last, my friends, come hither,
Let’s raise unto ourselves a toast!
Excuse me...the Star Spangled Banner is about WAR! I like this. Hmmm.lets find a photo of a bottle of wine... or maybe a vineyard, say Navarro, in the Anderson Valley. One of my favs.
